Just a quick question: I read on your website that new skaters, or 'fresh meat' can get on a roster and actually participate in a bout with regular practice in a 3 month time span. Is this true?! I went to Albany's roller derby recruitment last night, and was disappointed to hear that it may take up to a year to actually get on a roster. I haven't roller skated in years, but I was an avid figure skater/ice hockey player throughout high school, so I already know how to skate.
