Why should zombies have all the fun? We also enjoy ripping arms off of the living! The Hellions of Troy is the Capital District’s only all flat track roller derby league. You are invited to our recruitment night. Meet the skaters, ask tons of questions and slap on some skates.

    Hello!

    Just a quick question: I read on your website that new skaters, or ‘fresh meat’ can get on a roster and actually participate in a bout with regular practice in a 3 month time span. Is this true?! I went to Albany’s roller derby recruitment last night, and was disappointed to hear that it may take up to a year to actually get on a roster. I haven’t roller skated in years, but I was an avid figure skater/ice hockey player throughout high school, so I already know how to skate. After seeing the movie ‘Whip it’ I would love love love to join roller derby! Please let me know!
